One idea saves S$30 per month on electricity

For a family of five, we have been using the storage-tank type of water heater for showers for the last 18 years until lately, when I realised that it could be the water heater that was chalking up a big chunk of my electricity bills. We decided to change the water heater into an instantaneous type, Joven Model EC757 - a cool design.

And true enough! The following month, the electricity bill was reduced by more than S$30 and the water consumption was reduced by about 20% at the same time, because the shower head that comes with the new instantaneous heater is more water-efficient.

Excluding the amount of water saved, for the last 18 years, taking an average of $30 savings per month on the electricity, I could have actually saved at least S$6,480 on the electricity consumption.
