Do you take pride in what you do?
How well we do a job depends on how much importance we attach to it. Therefore, the quality of the output we produce is proportional to the amount of importance we place on the job. If we think something is important, we will do it well; or else, we will just do it anyhow as long as it gets done, we are not so concerned about whether it is done properly and to the best of our ability.
At the workplace, those people who don't take pride in their work will do their work more as a duty rather than something that they take pride in and feel proud to sign their name on when the work is completed. That is to say, they don't take pride in their work. Some employees would treat their work with a standard that is different from how they treat their personal things. They are more careful with their personal things but more careless and indifferent when it comes to work. Expectations are different. This is often seen as a practice of double-standards.
