People actually like changes, but it depends...

In the context of management, it is always said that people are resistant to change. But, when it comes to trends and fashions, it appears that this statement often said in management doesn't hold true all the time. We should say, people like changes but it depends on the subject of change. When it comes to attitude and life changes, people are not so forthcoming.

Let's take a look at how people all over the world are subjecting themselves to changes in trends and fashions so frequently and without even blinking their eyes or thinking twice. If you have sufficiently long memory, you would remember that all the trends are short-lived, a new one phasing out the previous one so seamlessly and naturally.

Do you still remember the big-framed or round-framed spectacles? They are probably collectors' items now. In fact, almost everyone is putting on the mini-rectangular half-framed spectacles now. Before long, this fashion will be replaced. Just watch! Similar examples are numerous as you look around, such as handbags, shoes, dresses, especially the ladies' apparels.

But, the trouble is, when it comes to attitude, mindset or habit change, people are less willing to make effort for it. Recently, even a celebrity said over a TV programme, "I am like that. My character is like that." Basically, she was trying to say that it was hard for her to change. That speaks a lot about most of us.
