Don't Reinvent The Wheels!

This afternoon, I met a nice young Indian girl studying in Secondary 3. She was gentle, well-mannered and keen to learn. Her command of English was excellent as her mother revealed. She likes to read. I encouraged her to read my book and be inspired to write her own book one day. I believe she would.

Actually, reading is very important in improving one's command of a language. You may like to know that all leaders are readers. It is through reading that we learn about other people's experience (OPE) and thoughts. By tapping on other's experience and reading about their thoughts, we would be able to speed up our learning and shorten the learning curve.

What is the point of walking the same path and going through the same situation that someone has walked and tumbled into before? Learn the smarter way. Don't reinvent the wheels! A new generation should continue to build on the foundation laid by the last generations. There is no need to lay the foundation again unless it has become structurally weak and threatens the stability of the building.
