Do You Fit The Bill? The Computer DOES!

The "January" page of my standing calendar for 2006 reads, "We're looking for someone who is high in EQ, multitasking, fast worker, must work overtime and paid the least. Do you fit the bill?"

Wow! It seems that employers are getting more and more demanding huh! Except for the EQ (Emotional Intelligence), a computer probably would fit the bill perfectly well.

A computer surely multitasks better than any human being depending on the RAM (Random Access Memory) size, it certainly works faster than a human depending on the CPU (Central Processing Unit) speed, and it tiredlessly works 24/7/365, round the clock without complaints or arguing with you.

The only thing you may not like about a computer is that it likes to play joke on you when you need it most - it hangs as it likes -(taking MC or Medical Leave!!!). But, it is alright because that is just the computer's way of telling you it has overworked a little or it is getting a little sick and tired. Occasionally, it may be down with some PC-flu virus, just give it a PC-cillin antiviral medication and it should be on its way to recovery. Of course, if you don't take good care of it, sometimes, it may suffer from digital dementia or loss of memory or you may have to change some components or perform some electronic transplants. When it is too old and too slow, you just replace it with a new one that is always faster in speed and more sleek and sexy in appearance. The computer is pretty much a Digital Human. Perhaps, that is what the employers are looking for?

Frankly, if any human were to possess all those qualities demanded by the employers, it is unlikely that he wants to be employed. It would certainly make more "cents" for him to be his own boss. Does it make "cents" to you?
